Meet Michael
& Debra Ann Billings
Billings Ministries was incorporated in 1995 to carry out the teaching ministries of Michael and Debbie Billings. The couple had just relocated from fourteen years of pioneering a church in West Texas to Birmingham, Alabama in order to travel the nation as itinerant teachers. They went from coast to coast into churches with a unique message while also pioneering Word of Life Family Church in Tuscaloosa in 1997. In 2012, that family of believers was renamed River Church.
Billings Ministries continues to function in partnership with River Church, administrating the ministry itinerary and media libraries.
Sadly, Debbie departed to Heaven in 2017. Pastor Michael continued to lead River Church and Billings Ministries alone until he married a long-time member, Debra Ann Taylor. She had been a cherished member of the River Church family since 2003 when she moved back to Tuscaloosa, her home-town. She has taken many leadership positions in the church during those eighteen years. She is currently administrating River Church with her husband, Pastor Michael.
Billings Ministries operates with River Church as a IRS 501 (c) 3 Religious Non-Profit organization. Financial gifts to this ministry are tax-deductible and are used solely to carry out the ever-increasing work of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to people in Alabama and outreaches world-wide.

Michael Billings is focused on encouraging and equipping believers to abound in life by the power of Christ in you, the hope of glory. He ministers the Word of God from the perspective of finding the BIG picture in Jesus—how everything in your life can fit together for increase, each part adding significance to the whole. Every believer can always have God’s very best working exponentially in their life-journey. His messages are faith-based, success-oriented and in the tempo of living in days as if heaven’s on earth.
Michael has been the Pastor of River Church since pioneering it in Tuscaloosa, Alabama in 1997. Sunday messages [Winning Everyday] bring an atmosphere of hope and faith for every believer. Midweek services focus on encouraging and building up the saints to not only thrive in their own lives, but to minister that life to others wherever they go.

Debbie Billings
September 19th, 1953—August 11th, 2017
Early in her ministry, Debbie researched her given name and discovered that the Bible taught that Deborah meant, prophetically—a loyal declarer of truth. For thirty-seven years her whole drive and fire were based on finding, boldly declaring and defending the life and authenticity of the Word of God.
Debbie consistently ministered from her vast personal experiences in proving God's Word in her own life. Her messages are typified by actual life-proofs and illustrations. Her riveting style is best noted by her simplifying, and yet amplifying the keys of the king-dom of Heaven directly into her audiences. She deals with both the heart-desires of bold faith and the seemingly impossible limitations everyone faces. Her messages are faith-based, success-oriented and in the tempo of living every day as if Heaven is already on Earth.
