We love to display our gratitude and devotion to God for the blessings He has placed in our hands. One way is by the giving of our tithes and offerings.

Those who call River Church their home church regularly give a tithe of their increase to the Lord. The word “tithe” is a Bible word that means “tenth”. It is a way of honoring God by bringing the first 10% of our income and increase to Him. It is also a demonstration of His Lordship in a believer's life. It affirms to Him and ourselves that we are sure that every good thing we have, need and receive in life does indeed come from our amazingly generous heavenly Father. Jesus is Lord over the tither!

 We also give offerings unto the Lord. Offerings are given in addition to the tithe and represent one way to be personally involved in advancing His Kingdom. Giving is defined in the Bible as sowing or planting seed.

Love Always Gives. Giving is the evidence for love. For God so loved..., that He gave.... is heaven’s demonstration of that same principle. God gives to mankind out of His love. It is our desire to give out of our love for Him into His kingdom as well.
